Rescuers at Arizona Animal Welfare League & SPCA love all the dogs that come through their doors, but everyone had an extra special sweet-spot for Binx.

Binx was too good for his owner

The kind-hearted pooch was one of the friendliest (and best behaved) dogs they'd ever seen, so they knew it wouldn't be long before someone else fell in love with him.

I’m Binx, And I am TOO good of a dog. No Seriously! I was adopted and returned within 48 hours, with notes saying I’m...

And they weren't wrong. After a short stay, Binx found his forever home. Or at least that's what everyone thought!

But fast forward a few days, and Binx is back at the shelter. Staff questioned the new owner, shocked that anyone would want to give up a dog like Binx.

But they were even more shocked by the unnamed owner's answer. He wasn't giving Binx up because he'd done anything wrong, but because he was "too good!"

He was looking for a more challenging dog, and Binx was too well-behaved!

Staff shared the unlikely story on the shelter's Facebook page, letting Binx tell his 'tail' in his own words:

"I think the only challenging part of me is how devastatingly handsome I am – I can't get anything done here at the shelter because everyone is petting me, telling me what a good boy I am, and taking me for walks. So if you're ready for a handsome, well-mannered pup, here I am!"

A better offer comes along

The offers of a new home came flooding in, and we're happy to say that Binx is now with the family he deserves.

"Everyone! It happened! I have a family," 'said' Binx. "My new dad saw me on TV. We fell in love immediately, and they live next to a mountain preserve so we can go hiking all the time!"

So it looks like a very special dog has finally found a very special home! Now that's the kind of ending we like!
