Everyone deserves a scrumptious Christmas dinner, especially our canine companions. Sainsbury’s have announced that they will be opening a special Christmas restaurant this year exclusively for dogs. For three days only in December, your four-legged friends can enjoy a feast of Christmas goodies.
The event will run from the 13th to the 15th of December and be hosted at the Hus Gallery near Regent Street. Pups will receive a ‘silver service’ with waiters bringing out drool-worthy snacks and dishes. From bowls of turkey and carrots or chicken, turkey or duck. Not forgetting Sainsbury’s dog-friendly mince pies that will be served along with treats and snacks to buy for your pooch and even your feline friends too.
Humans won’t miss out either. There will be human-friendly treats available such as sandwiches accompanied by a glass of bubbly.
There will also be the chance to get your dog photographed by a professional dog photographer so they will have some great photos to add to their social media.
The pop-up’s grand opening coincides with Christmas Jumper Day, which makes it the perfect opportunity to dress your canine pal in a fun festive jumper.
Tickets to the event are £5 for one owner and one dog and £7.50 for two owners and one dog. This covers a 45-minute session of doggy fun, including treats, your Christmas sandwich and a glass of fizz.
Dog lover but no dog?
If you are a dog lover but don’t have a dog, then you don’t have to miss out on the fun. Sainsbury is hosting three ‘I have no dog’ sessions on 14 December. You will be able to meet and hang out with some friendly pups.
Sainsbury's will be donating all proceeds from the pop-up events to Guide Dogs.
The pop-up restaurant will open from 12pm to 7.45pm on the Friday and then 9.30am on the remaining two days and close slightly earlier.
