Dogs and cats are supposed to the best of enemies, but it looks like one pup named Aragon didn't get the memo!
What's in the box?
He was out on his walkies around the Immitos region in Greece when something caught his attention. It was a small cardboard box lying on the side of the road.
The curious pooch gave it a little sniff and looked back at his owner as if to say, "Quick. Open it!" Aragon's human did as he was told, and the pair found themselves staring at a litter of four kittens!
Aragon's dog-dad, who is also a volunteer at an animal rescue shelter, decided to take the kittens home.
He was a little worried about how Aragon would react to having these furballs on his patch, but it was clear that he only wanted to help.
The loving pooch became a foster dad to the kittens, keeping a watchful eye over them during playtime and always making himself available for snuggles.
After a few months of loving care, the kittens were finally strong enough to be rehomed with new families.
Aragon was sad to say goodbye to his babies, but it wasn't long before he got another chance to show off his new parenting skills.
Just a few weeks later, the dog's owner found another stray kitten who Aragon raised as his own.
Everyone needs a home
But why would a dog care so much about a bunch of kittens? Well, as it turns out, Aragon is a rescue dog who spent years living as a stray.
It looks like he remembers exactly what it feels like to be out on the street. So cat or not, Aragon doesn't care. As far as he's concerned, everyone deserves a forever home!
