A Fi survey was recently performed in the USA to find out what Disney name was most commonly given to dogs. And the result may surprise you!

By Justine Seraphin, 20 Nov 2019

The smart dog collar company Fi surveyed 1.6 million dog owners – and came up with some unexpected results. Indeed, the most common name doesn’t actually belong to a dog in the Disney universe, but to a whole other species! Can you guess what it is?

The numbers have spoken

If you guessed Daisy – as in Daisy Duck – you are correct! Out of all the people who owned dogs with Disney-inspired names, 21% of them had a dog named Daisy, while only 5.1% of them had a dog named Lady!

In 3rd place, we have Zeus (from Hercules), in 4th place, Belle (from Beauty and The Beast), and of course, Mickey makes it into 5th place.

In the UK, Daisy has been in the top 10 dog names for a few years now, so we’re assuming it’s the top Disney-inspired name here too! Max (from A Goofy Movie or The Little Mermaid) is also a very popular dog name in the UK.
