No matter how cute Sigmund looked, no family seemed to take an interest in him at the shelter. But Sigmund wasn’t about to just sit there and wait endlessly.

So he came up with his very own technique to grab visitors’ attention. And it worked.
Lonely, so lonely
Sigmund was just 3 years old when he ended up in a shelter. Despite his affectionate personality, he was being constantly overlooked by adopters. His hopes lifted one day when a family took him home, but were crushed once again when he was brought back shortly after due to his being ‘too active’.
It can’t be denied that Sigmund is a very active fellow. He’s not laid-back – he was not about to let the world decide his fate for him. So he developed and perfected a very unique behaviour to make sure he was never overlooked again.
A licking frenzy
Indeed, Sigmund began vigorously licking the glass window of his cattery every time a visitor walked by. With this neat trick, he made every visitor feel special, as if they were being given a special kiss by the little resident.
Plus, shelter staff were highly amused by his antics, which they started to film. His videos ended up online, and before you know it, they were going viral.
And so ended the long streak of bad luck for Sigmund. At four years of age, he finally began to live a normal cat life within the warmth and love of a fur-ever family.
Well done, Sigmund!
