Bree was on her way home (in California, USA), when she noticed a tiny little kitten in an alleyway. As the kitten was completely still, Bree decided to get a closer look.

She saw the kitten was meowing pleadingly and panting, too. She knew she needed her help.
Kitten in danger
“When she saw me, she meowed at me and tried to come up to me. It was so hot (110 degrees F), and she was so tired and malnourished the she only made it a couple of steps,” Bree told Love Meow.
Without hesitation, Bree scooped up the little furball and took her home, where she could enjoy a comfortable night.
The next day, Bree took the little kitten, now named Cloe, to the vet’s for a check-up.
“She had severe dehydration, was extremely malnourished, covered in fleas, and had intestinal parasites.”
The vet told Bree that if she hadn’t found Cloe when she did, the little kitten would’ve died.
A new life
Luckily, Bree had not only saved the kitten, but she was also prepared to face the challenges ahead to help her in her recovery. In the beginning, she fed Cloe every hour to help her gain weight. It was therefore no surprise that Cloe quickly grew attached to her new mum, and started following her around everywhere.
It took a good month before Cloe was feeling like a cat again, playing and growing at a normal pace. Though Bree had never owned a cat before, she fell head over heels in love with this one – and could simply no longer imagine her life without the little feline.
A few months later, Bree decide to adopt Crowley, as a companion for Cloe, who didn’t like to stay home alone.
Within just a few days, the two were inseparable. Now Bree, Cloe, and Crowley are living happily ever after!
