They forgot to feed the cat!
On a day like any other, Andrew and Paula Hancock from England went to fill up their car at the local gas station and planned on driving back home right after. As they were leaving the gas station, they remembered something: to buy their cat Shortcake his food!
The couple decided to turn around and get Shortcake’s special kibbles so that he had something to eat as well. As they were in the petrol station, they spontaneously decided to buy a scratch card. They could not have had a better idea! As they were scratching and scratching both their faces dropped…. they had won £ 1,000,000!!!
A new life awaits
Thanks to their cat - who is more of a trouble marker than a lucky charm - the couple’s life will change for the best. They finally got rid of all their financial worries. For the moment, Andrew and Paula haven't made any special purchases, they only brought a new smartphone for their son. Maybe they’ll use the money to travel around the world or buy a ton of food for Shortcake, who knows? As for Shortcake he has enjoyed some luxury food and has become a local celebrity.
Watch: The Mansfield couple who won a million pounds - all because of their cat. While he nipped out to get some cat food, Andrew Hancock thought he'd buy a Monopoly scratchcard while he was at it... And the couple have attributed their win to their pet cat Shortcake!Posted by Notts TV on Tuesday, August 13, 2019
