It’s a remarkable story about a young hero who saved the life of a cat who was left to die by its heartless owner.

The boy aged 10 and from Connecticut, heard the sound of meowing coming from a box in the water. The box was taped up but once opened, the boy discovered that inside was a poor little frightened male cat.
Thrown off bridge by heartless owner
Local animal control officers were called and discovered that the cat had been put in the box and then, unbelievably, thrown over the side of a bridge.
Hero boy to the rescue
After the boy had watched in horror as a man threw the box over the bridge into the water below, he flagged down a local police office.
"The young boy heard meowing coming from the box that was completely taped up and tied in a garbage bag,” officers posted on Facebook.
The kind-hearted boy ran to the water’s edge and rescued the cat from the box.
Unharmed but timid
Bridgeport Animal Control shared a photo of the poor feline, thankfully looking unharmed, sitting in a white box covered in duct tape.
Bridgeport Animal Control say the cat seems to be doing ok, but after its harrowing ordeal is understandably quite timid. The cat isn’t available yet for adoption.
Officers have been urging the local public to come forward with any information about the incident and the man who threw the cat over the bridge.
