Norma is 90 years old and has just been diagnosed with cancer. But instead of putting herself through treatment in a hospital, she decided to go around the world with her furry best friend.

Two days after the death of her husband, Norma discovered she has a tumour on her uterus. She quickly made her decision: rather than starting chemotherapy, she choose to live the rest of her life to the fullest and in the most adventurous way possible.

Norma’s choice

When this positive and brave lady announced the decision she has made to her doctor, he did not hesitate to wish her a wonderful trip! So, Norma started travelling with her son Tim, her daughter-in-law Ramie and Ringo, her lovely 12-year-old Poodle.

This attracted a little attention!

Live in the moment

With Ringo as a co-pilot and her loved ones, Norma lived the best moments of her life: "We do not know where and when it ends, we live in the moment," said Ramie, Norma's step daughter, after several months of travelling on the road.

We thought Ringo could sit at Ramie's feet on the golf cart, but he was clearly most comfortable lounging across her lap. He is such a goof.

While drying off Ringo spotted a couple loons. A favorite for anyone visiting "Up North."

After a year of travelling and incredible memories, Norma passed away without regret and in peace on September 30, 2016.

After a year spent mourning Norma, emptying and selling her house full of memories, Tim and Ramie decided to continue travelling. They started a new journey with Ringo, aboard a boat they called "M / V Miss Norma". A brilliant tribute to an extraordinary woman.
