Aaron Carter has been forced to deny allegations that he's been rescuing dogs and selling them on for huge profits. While members of the public have been publicly shaming him for doing so, there is no actual proof that Carter is in the puppy trafficking game - quite on the contrary.

People began posting the bizarre allegations after Carter was caught on camera speculating about a possible sale. Talking about his most recent rescue pooch, Carter said:
"This is my new buddy. If I can't keep him, I am going to be listing him. He's 10 months old, and he's running for $3,500. I rescue him and I find him homes."
Some unusual allegations
Social media followers flooded the star with hundreds of messages, including one that called the singer 'disgusting' and a 'disgrace.'Given that Carter is well known for rescuing dogs and finding them new homes, it's unsurprising that some people raised their suspicions over his real motives.
Aaron quickly took to social media to defend himself against the charges, claiming that people had taken the video in the wrong way. He said:
"What I said in my Instagram live video was a joke. I think it's appalling that I actually even have to explain myself."
"Find one dog that I adopted and sold for money, be my guest. Won't HAPPEN. I'm a good person, and I deserve respect."
So while they probably meant well, it looks a few people may have overreacted to the footage. Still, the story attracted the attention of a local animal shelter that plans to contact Carter to clarify the situation.
Does he need the cash that badly?
It's been a rough few months for Carter. He was dragged into the Michael Jackson 'Neverland' scandal and recently split from his long-term partner Lisa Valentina.
Though the best-selling recording artist might not be as famous as he used to be, it's hard to imagine that he needs to sell rescue dogs to pay those bills. Plus, he's clearly a pooch lover!
