A couple from Sao Paulo, Brazil, finally uncovered the reason for some unexpected lie-ins after video footage revealed the culprit who had been turning off their early morning alarm, thus making them late for work every day.

The unnamed pair started sleeping in later than usual, making them late for work. But they couldn't figure out why this was happening.
The investigation begins
So after another unplanned lie-in, the pair decided to investigate. They set the alarm on an iPhone, started filming, and waited.
As soon as the alarm goes off, the couple's cat, a naughty little guy called Joaquin, springs up onto the bedside cabinet. He then swipes his paw across the screen until the noise stops! One of Joaquin's cat mums said:
"My companion and I were arriving late to work because the phone alarm wasn't waking us up."
"Recently, we have discovered that our kitty Joaquim was the one who was turning off the alarm."
It's unclear why the feline decided to start switching off the alarm clock. Did he hate the annoying buzzing noise first thing in the morning, as we all do? Or was it his way of keeping his humans around the house for a little longer?
After all, going most of the day without any strokes or cuddles is hard work for such a cute kitty!
Either way, the couple are now keeping their phones well beyond the reach of this mischevious furball. I guess you could say he brings a whole new meaning to the phrase "catnap!"
Joaquin goes viral
The amazing video quickly went viral. Over 200,000 people watched the clip on Youtube, with comments coming in from all over the world.
One cat-fan posted:
"Somehow, that cat is smart enough to turn off an iPhone alarm. That's incredible!"
While another viewer wrote:
"I can't wait for them to show this to their bosses."
