An adorable stray cat has decided that it’s his calling to move into the local parish. After turning up some months ago, he’s literally refusing to leave.

Junior is a confident kitty

Who makes the rules around here? Well, Junior, of course.

Here’s a photo of him donating himself to the church’s collection basket - after all, he considers himself a blessing. Yep, the feline dude definitely has a big ego - and it’s absolutely hilarious!

According to The Dodo, he shows up to church, heads to mass and picks a ‘lucky’ person’s lap to settle on.

But one week, not long ago, he went a step further and decided to plonk himself in front and centre, as if to say: “Come on guys, I’M meant to be the centre of attention here!”.

And, you know - just took the opportunity to give himself a lil clean.

And now the church has adopted him

Since Junior made himself so welcome, Osvaldo Boracini, the church’s leader, decided it was only right to care for the little dude. He’s decided to take Junior under his wing and make him the church’s resident pet.

Despite Junior’s inflated ego, it is clear that he’s brought an intangible presence to the church - in fact, even outsiders have taken notice of the situation.

"I am not Catholic, but I congratulate the priest and the [congregation] for their respect and affection toward the kitten!" one commenter wrote online.

While another said: "I love it! So much to be proud of!"
