They say that pets end up resembling their owners. But for those with a penchant for body art, there’s always been something missing… until now!

Introducing inkless tattoo sleeves for cats

Yeah, you heard right - tattoo sleeves for cats.

We know what you’re thinking. Sticking a needle in an innocent kitty’s arm - surely that’s animal cruelty?

Well, it totally would be. But thankfully, these bespoke feline tattoo sleeves are a completely cruelty-free garment - which look pretty much identical to the real deal!

And it’s all down to a talented Californian designer by the name of Airie McCready, who’s the proud owner of 6 cats. She produces stunning Chinese and Japanese-inspired designs in the same colour as your cat’s skin or fur - and they’re seriously double-take worthy.

Commenting on her quirky products in a recent interview with the Metro, Aerie said: "I have many sleeves for my own six cats, three Sphynxes and three Devon Rexes. The idea came to me when a friend showed me a silly fake tattoo sleeve and teased me how I did not have to get ink, I could have gotten one of these. I grabbed it from him and thought 'if only I knew how to sew.'"

She added: "It took a long time, but I figured out how to do it, it’s really delicate fabric. Everything in my shop is made by myself or a contracted seamstress and I oversee each item.”

Turn your kitty into a punk rocker
