Production has yet to start but you can share your dogs' story by using the hashtag #netflixdogstory and tagging @NetflixDogs on Instagram and Twitter. Producers will review the posts and select the most heartwarming and interesting stories for the second series.

The first series was a massive hit

Executive producers of the show, Amy Berg and Glen Zipper, unveiled the news in a press statement on Wednesday. They said:

"From the beginning, we have said that the joy shown in ‘Dogs’ helps bring people together and that same feeling will translate more than ever in Season Two."

"'Dogs’ offers us the ability to explore some of the most important human stories through relationships with our best friends and it’s been amazing to see how much these episodes have touched audiences and critics across the globe."

The first series premiered last year, receiving excellent reviews from fans and critics. Dogs earned a 92% approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes, while Laura Bradley, Vanity Fair's TV columnist, wrote:

"It's primary draw is it's earnest storytelling—never manipulative, never syrupy. Yes, there’s fluff on the surface—but at its core, Dogs is good."

Dogs is a six-part miniseries with each episode focusing on a unique aspect of our relationship with our four-legged friends.

Cameras followed Cory, a service dog helping his new owner overcome her social phobia, and Zeus, whose master risked his life to rescue his beloved pet from war-torn Syria.
