Are you a sausage dog owner? Or a sausage dog lover? Maybe both? Then this is the event for you – and you CAN’T miss it.

By Justine Seraphin, 26 May 2019

The pop-up event will take place on June 30th at Revolucion de Cuba in the Bigg Market, Newcastle. Walk-ins on the day of will not be possible, so get your tickets fast!

A very pup-ular event

If you decide to attend this event, you’ll not only meet TONS of adorable sausages, but you’ll also be able to treat your pup to all the best dog treats, and take the cutest pictures together in the doggy photobooth!

You don’t need a dog to attend, though tickets will be a little more expensive for those going dog-less (£ 10 instead of £ 7.50). Dogs of course, go free, so you know what that means…bottomless Dachsies!

Event organiser Anushka Fernando told Chronicle Live: “Our Dachshund Café pop ups are so popular all around the UK, we know the North East has lots of sausage dog communities in and around the region so it made sense to come to Newcastle! We love the city, and we’re hoping it will be a huge success with the city’s dog loving residents!”

Since Fernando knows how popular these events can be, she’s set a time-limit for sittings in the café. Each ticket will only be valid for 75 minutes. This seems fair both to the people attending, and mostly to the dogs, who could otherwise get overwhelmed in a crowd.

Paw-fect day out!

Despite being a fun-filled event, pop-up cafes such as this one are a great way to meet other dog people who own the same breed. This could be the perfect opportunity to ask for tips and share fun stories about your beloved Dachsies. Plus, this is a chance for your dog to meet plenty of other dogs and people – a great way to get that pup socialised!
