Having fun at college is one thing, but forcing an innocent puppy to drink beer from a keg is another. A video showing a group of college lads forcing a puppy to consume alcohol has infuriated the internet.

We all know how college life can be. Plenty of parties, lots of fun and some craziness thrown in for good measure. But that shouldn’t give students an excuse to carry out acts of clear animal cruelty.
A group of lads forced a puppy to drink alcohol
The video, which was taken at a New York fraternity get-together, displays a group of seemingly intoxicated young men forcing a puppy to consume beer from a keg. The footage was uploaded to Snapchat during the party and quickly went viral.
The 10-month old King Charles Cavalier Spaniel was picked up with force by two lads, who then sprayed beer directly into its mouth. Struggling to escape from their tight grip, the confused puppy was forced to consume the alcohol.
The owner may face charges
Thankfully, concerned dog lovers reported the video to the Nassau County SPCA, who investigated the scene and plan to press charges against the puppy’s 21-year-old owner.
SPCA spokesman, Gary Rogers, said to CBS News: "It's wrong on every level. It's just not rational thinking,"
He added that charges pressed are likely to be: "a misdemeanour for failure to provide adequate sustenance and overdrive and torture of an animal".
Thankfully, it appears that the adorable puppy is living in good conditions and is getting on fine. We can only hope that this is a lesson learnt for the long lads, who will hopefully treat animals with more respect in their years to come.
