The events took place in Obersteinbach, France. A vet was arrested for allegations of animal neglect.

When you think of a vet, you think of someone who saves animals, someone who cares about them, and does everything they can to help them. But this certainly isn’t the case with this vet.
Veterinarian turned evil animal hoarder
Several professionals, including vets, rescue centre staff, and the Departmental Directorate of Population Protection, had all agreed that the way this vet was keeping her animals was absolutely unacceptable. With their support, the Woerth police was able to obtain a warrant and entered the property on the 30th of April to save the neglected cats and dogs.
In total, they seized 19 dogs and 5 cats.
The vet was apparently keeping them in very unsanitary living conditions. Suffering from severe neglect, these animals were also being kept for monetary gain rather than as pets. It is thought the vet was breeding and selling them. She did not have the appropriate documentation licensing her to do this, and was obviously not keeping the animals in appropriate conditions.
Now facing charges of animal cruelty
The animals were all brought to the SPA shelter in Haguenau for treatment and care. Hopefully, they will all soon be adopted.
The vet’s court date was yesterday, but we are still awaiting news on the outcome of her trial.
This is unfortunately not the first time she has been involved in entanglements with justice. She was in fact suspended from being able to practice in Germany, which is what brought her to France.
Hopefully, this shady vet will be banned from being able to practice all together, in any country!
