The incredible journey begins

The pet cat’s long journey begins in Salt Lake City, Utah, when he unknowingly climbs aboard a truck that is destined for Marianna, Florida, a distance of more than two thousand miles. Of course, when the driver of the semi-truck discovered the cat, he was soon handed over to an animal rescue group.

Too late to return the lost cat to his home town

By the time Sebastian was found on the truck, following his cross-country road trip, the animal rescue group had no way of knowing who his real owner is. The cat doesn’t appear to be registered on the microchip database, so the rescue team place images of the cat on its Facebook page. They hope that this cat’s owners will spot his picture and claim him very soon.

Will this cat’s owner ever be found?

The cat who accidentally hitched a ride has been on an incredible journey. He is a gorgeous, loving cat who is very friendly with staff at the rescue centre. Partners for Pets, in Marianna, are reaching out to cat lovers everywhere, via social media, in the hope that Sebastian can be reunited with his master in Utah.

They have commented that despite the many people who have been in touch to offer Sebastian a new home, that he is not up for adoption. No matter how difficult it might be, they hope to eventually locate the cat’s actual owners.

Could it be your missing pet cat?

Several people on the social media sites are also claiming that Sebastian could be their very own missing kitty. One lady mentions that she lost her cat in 2018 – could this be her cat that has accidentally hitched a ride? Let’s hope that Sebastian is returned to his proper owner very soon.
