The poor dog was seemingly reluctant and scared as he was picked up near the edge of a cliff and thrown into the sea. The scene took place in Falmouth, Cornwall, where cliff sides can easily reach up to 30 metres in height.

The shocking video was filmed by the boy’s friend, who shared it on a social media app (Snapchat). It was apparently an afternoon of fun for the two boys who thought it appropriate to treat a defenceless animal in this way, film their cruel acts, and share it with their online friends.
The police is on the case
Even though taking pride in what they did is terrible, it did lead the police to discover the cruelty they had inflicted upon the poor dog. They are currently investigating the case, and trying to find the boys responsible.
They are, however, concerned that dog-lovers will want to take matters into their own hands. They remind the public that they are looking into it, and must be left to do their job. In a recent statement, Devon and Cornwall Police said “We ask that people, including users of social media, do not speculate around the circumstances of this incident, or the individual involved.”
Many copies of the video have already been deleted online due to the terrible comments and threats made by viewers.
On a mission to end animal cruelty
Although the dog survived his ordeal and apparently came out of the incident unscathed, the RSPCA feels it must get involved. If the dog indeed belongs to the boy, it may be in the animal’s best interest to be seized by the animal charity and re-homed.
“We are very concerned about this incident and would like to reassure people we are looking into it,” an RSPCA spokesperson told the BBC.
Be warned that this video may be difficult to watch for some viewers.
