Lady, a beautiful black and white cat, has been at the RSPCA for no less than 430 days – making her one of the loneliest cats in the UK.

Meet Lady, a 6-year old feline female looking for a home. Her owner, who explained he could no longer care for her, left her at a shelter in January 2018. When RSPCA Suffolk East and Ipswich branch first took her in, she had a few skin problems, but with an adapted diet, she soon recovered.
Now healthy as a horse, but still homeless
And this truly is an enigma, for shelter staff describe her as being ‘sweet, affectionate, and playful’.
One RSPCA spokeswoman said, “The best thing about her is her cheeky personality. She loves to play but also loves affection. Lady has a great personality with a naughty twist and can offer hours of entertainment!”
On the hunt for the perfect home
Lady did spend a short time in a home, but was returned to the shelter, as she did not get along with the household’s other cat. But as long as she is the only pet in the home, she can be the perfect companion. Lady would also be happier in a countryside home where she is free to go outside, roam, and do what cats do.
The RSPCA desperately wants to find Lady the good home she deserves. They are even willing to provide her new owners with the prescription diet she requires at cost price.
Lady is still young and full of life. She doesn’t want to spend any other time in the shelter if she doesn’t have to. Could you help Lady get the happy ending she so wishes for?
