Copper: male dog to adopt
** Copper is currently in a foster home in the UK. For more details, please contact us**
This adoption appeal is breaking our hearts and one I didn't think we'd have to write. This stunning boy is Copper, a 3-year-old Staffordshire bull terrier who was found tied up outside a police station hence the name. His forever home is now sadly too ill to look after him, he adored his foster, his foster adored him.
Little history was known when he first came into rescue, but we've gained quite a bit from his wonderful hooman . We are seeking a special home for our boy.
Copper needs a home that will be consistent but firm. He’s still a big puppy and does still occasionally mouth which we are working on. He has been prone to guarding when he gets confused although we’ve not seen any of that behaviour recently. He’s been described as ‘mad as a box of frogs’ by his emergency foster.
Copper is a very loving boy but needs very clear boundaries. Ideally, he needs a calm home with someone experienced in dealing with dogs that have training issues. Pet free and child free homes only. Full behavioural support is part of the package.
If you feel you could offer Copper a loving foster/forever home please complete our application form and drop us a message.
If not please share his story, as it could be your share that finds him his family.
